Working on our biographical essays in the computer lab.
We had to learn good researching skills in order to find the most useful information for our biographical essays. What fun it was to watch videos and readarticles about the interesting scientists
teaching our peers about our researched scientists.
We wanted to learn about the other scientists that our classmates were researching so we did some "chalk talk." Each of us was responsible for writing information about the scientist we are researching and then we got to rotate around the room in order to read the other scientists' information. We even got to comment on each others' posters!
Enjoying our thanksgiving feast!
YUMMY!! The whole class chipped in to celebrate a Thanksgiving Feast together. We talked about the importance of being grateful and enjoying the company of friends and family!
"speed teaching" each other about our legends' epic heros!
As quick as we could we had to describe the epic heros that we created for the legends that we are writing. We got to rotate 5 times to hear from several different classmates!
Our aspects of colonial life presentations!
We all split into different groups so that we could cover for aspects of colonial life. Some of us researched what it was like to go to school during that time while other groups learned about the types of food colonial people ate. After doing research and completing our different projects, we took turns presenting our work to the rest of the class.
P.S. 76 Cares day!
We wrote letters and cards to the elderly at the ThrogsNeck Extended Facility. We were so excited to try and spread happiness to those who need a smile!
Visiting class k-015!
We took a trip over to the mini building to learn more about chicks from the EGGSperts in Class K-015! We went prepared with questions to ask the Kindergarteners in an interview and then read a play together with them about chicks.
